Who we are

The International Clinic is a medical consultancy clinic which strives to provide up-to-date, world class medical care. It is based at the Parklands Mediplaza, Nairobi, directly opposite the Aga Khan University Hospital, strategically located on the route to the UN Nairobi Headquarters. It was founded in 2005 and has grown over the years to include the Thika Arcade branch, Thika, on the other end of the ultra modern twelve-lane Thika Super Highway.

While the clientele of The International Clinic has grown to the thousands, the staff also continues to grow in number and stature. With a staff of three doctors, two nurses, a driver, a pharmacist, an accountant and two office managers, The International Clinic believes in the value of its human resource and regularly carries out staff training by Resource Associates Ltd.

The Founder, Dr Charles Kamotho, is a specialist in Internal Medicine (University of Nairobi), having studied for his undergraduate in the famous Universidad de Navarra, Spain. He has sub-specialised in Cardiology and trained at the National Cardiovascular Institute in Osaka, Japan. He is fluent in Spanish, French, as well as English, Kiswahili and Kikuyu, and speaks basic Japanese. He has been co-opted as a member of several regional consultancy boards, and also serves on the National Council of the Kenya Association of Physicians.

The International Clinic uses electronic data management for all consultations, laboratory work and accounting. The system automatically synchronises and backs up the data from the clinics to a central server, thus allowing patients to be seen conveniently at any of the outlets with all their current file information. Also, in case of hospital admissions, patient data can quickly and securely be downloaded on the mobile phone or laptop of the doctor, allowing prompt management of the patient.
